Kreider never touched Murray. He jumped backwards from the crease to get away from Murray.
edit: I stand corrected, just watched the video... Murray LUNGED out his crease and Kreider's knee hit his head as he jumped away from him.
Well, that explains the groin injury. |

Accidentally on purpose is the phrase I believe associated with Kreider in Canada |

Would be awesome if Kreider got a call for team USA but I doubt it, they will just load up on skill |

I could see him getting the call. I’d be happier if he didn’t play so we don’t have to worry |

He is 30 now so this is his last chance, would be an awesome career achievement to have |

Oh for sure, but from a selfish perspective I’d rather make sure he’s healthy |

Not sure, but during the game they were talking about how Murray has an extensive groin injury history. |

Did anyone catch the last couple minutes of the pre-gam? They had a video of Joey Daccorrd previewing the Kraken locker room (the Kraken drafted him from Ottawa)? His parents Own a goalie school here in MA and my son goes to it. He trains with Andrew Raycroft Daily. Hopeful that they can get him into a Prep-school and that I won't have to pay too much for it. |

This stat just floored me.
"It was the first time in franchise history the Rangers won a game in which they faced a multi-goal deficit in the final six minutes of regulation."
I can't believe in 95 years they had never done this before.
Wonder how many times they have blown a multi-goal lead in the final six minutes of regulation |

Looks like Kreider was shoved by the D, Murray came out to make the save and ran into Kreider's knee.
Unfortunate to be sure. Is this going to mess with Kreider even more? He's been aggressive this year, back to the player we hoped he would become.
I'm worried this is going to make him hesitant to go hard to the net again. |

2 minutes after the unfortunate ( and innocent ) bump on Murray, Kreider absolutely plastered Norris into the boards and earned a boarding penalty. When Kreider plays in "beast" mode, he can truly carry and lead this team like we saw today. The problem for him historically is consistently playing this way for a long time.
Hopefully, Gallant can extract this kind of effort from Kreider for a long stretch.... |

Don't usually agree with Phil Mushnick, but given our discussions on this in the past, thought this was worth posting and spot on:
Thursday, on one of those MSG channels, Islanders analyst Butch Goring and the replay crew presented a strong show-and-tell: Goring criticized Islanders defender Adam Pelech for not forcing the Blue Jackets’ forwards toward the near boards.
As Goring noted, Pelech allowed the forward a more dangerous opportunity from nearer and more flush to the goal. It was a concise, applicable and appreciated session.
And it got me to wondering why Rangers MSG telecasts don’t try to present similar, rather than a steady beat of analyst Joe Micheletti pointing to Rangers players and saying, “Good job,” “Good play,” “Good effort." |
